There is only one simple answer to increasing the computer speed and it is the memory upgrade.
Do not search for any other solution, because there simply is no such. It will be showed in a video later how a laptop with 1 GB and 2GB of RAM memory performs. Though, it is recommended for the laptop to have even more memory.
The main reason why the computer with more memory is faster is because it uses less data from the hard disk and keeps more of it in the RAM. Also, if there is not enough memory, RAM computer creates a special file and keeps some of necessary data in so called swap file on the disk. It decreases the computer speed even to a greater extent.
It is even more difficult to upgrade a processor in a laptop, because it is fitted deep in the motherboard. It is easier with a desktop computer, because it is visible, just when we the case cover is opened. If there is a new processor it is possible to do the upgrade in 10 minutes.

Another factor slightly influencing computer speed is the hard disk or the HDD.
There are a few possible types of speed of the hard disk: 4500 RPM, 5700 RPM and 10000 RPM. This is the speed of the spinning of the hard drive plate. The bigger RPM is the faster the data can be read and written.
Another factor is the speed of the memory RAM.  But it is less important than the actual size of the memory. Today there are a few speeds that operate RAM in the computer.
One more factor that could affect computer speed is the actual size of the buffer in the hard drive. The bigger the buffer the better it is.
