Here I will show you how to dissasemble IBM Thinkpad laptop model T20. This guide can be used also for T21, T22, T23 as the models are similar to each other.

First of all unscrewing two keyboard holding screws. Where they are shows picture below.

Second removing the keyboard by puling out trackpad buttons.

Now I would unscrew tree screws as shown in picture below.

Now unscrewing HDD cover holding screw and taking out the HDD.


Removing battery.

Removing bios battery. It is necessary because that screw holds palm rest plastic.
 

Unscrewing 4 more screws.

Unscrewing 3 screws near the battery and HDD bay.

Removing hinge cover.

Removing palm rest plastic as I am shoving.
