To connect the Internet to a laptop you will have to use a few things, depending on what type of the connection you want. Firstly, we have to mention that nowadays, there exists the mobile Internet broadband in Europe, America and Asia, in almost all world countries. To get this sort of Internet you simply have to go to the mobile phone connection provider, to the office or to the dealer, and request for the mobile Internet for your laptop. Usually this kind of Internet connection has data allowance so it sometimes can be limited. Unlimited one would cost more, of course. Second option is to get equiped with the wireless Internet connection at home. In this case you should have the Internet connection at home, a modem and a wireless router. There should be a manual with the package, explaining how to connect the laptop and router from your Internet service provider.

Another option would be to ask your neighbour to share the Internet connection with you. It is worth doing that, if other options are to pricy or you live in a small village. Some people make connections to laptops miles away with wireless routers. In this case you need to get a special antenna to amplify the weak WIFI signal. This antenna will  get connected to the wireless card in your laptop.
Other option is to get the wired connection to the router or to the Internet modem. I would suggest to get a router and connect the laptop to the router, instead of connecting it directly to the Internet modem. Then, it will be better protected from various intrusions.
There also are places, where you can get the free wireless Internet. Usually it is near pubs or big companies, hotels usually offer free Internet connections as well.
There also are some companies, which provide WiFi Internet but you have to pay for this kind of service. The connection package usually consists of an access point and a WiFi antenna. This type of connection is not very suitable for downloading big files.


Mobile Internet is also not suitable for p2p connection, as service providers are usually blocking the data channels. It is done to reduce the network traffic.
