It is difficult to decide what sort of laptop to buy, as the supply is so great and there are a lot of particular configurations and specifications in different computers.
Let's talk about three types of users. Firstly, let’s take a young person up to 20 years old and decide what kind of laptop would satisfy the needs of this age group. Basically, the most important thing for this age group is a powerful machine for games. The processor of this laptop group does not need to be very powerful, but the graphics card must be on the top of the range. The best graphics card manufacturers for laptops are: nVidia and ATI. Both of them are manufacturing good graphics cards for personal computers and laptops. Video card power and video memory is the most important for this laptop group. It is better, when the video card has its own separate memory and does not share it with the system memory.


For people from 20 to 30 years old we would suggest business laptops. These are laptops which perfectly fit for everyone’s particular needs. If you are working in multimedia sector, the best choice, in our opinion, would be a laptop from Apple. Macs still tend to be a leader in multimedia laptops. There is less software for Macs, but the available software is very good. Apple also makes its own software and operating system. We would not suggest a Mac for the first age group, mentioned above, as Macs are not so suitable for games.  The operating system for Mac from Apple is of a very good quality. It is made especially for Mac and the same company makes software and hardware.
The range of choices is also very wide for business laptops, as almost all laptop manufacturers are making their own lines of business-class laptops.
TravelMate is the laptop, offered by the Acer. Latitude is from Dell. There are very good Tecra business laptop models from Toshiba.
HP also has its business laptop line.

What sort of laptop to buy for people, who are over 30 years old? Most of the people, forming this age group, are managers, professionals or agents. They may already have a business laptop provided by the company they are working to. We think it is worth considering exclusive laptops, such as Adamo from Dell or Acer Ferrari. If person is dynamic, smart and feels young in his heart, Acer Ferrari would be a perfect choice.
17 inch laptop would be suitable for ones, who do not have to bring the laptop to work and go back home, carrying it. As 17 inch laptops are big and heavy, they are perfect replacement for desktop computers.
13 and 14 inch laptops can be considered as mini laptops and they are suitable to carry to work and do many tasks, similar to desktop computers.
Laptops, which are from 10 inch to 12 inch, are called netbooks. They are basically designed for communication through the Internet, for writing e-mails, using Skype or listening to music. We would not call them business laptops, as the system resources in netbooks are limited and they often do not include DVD drives. On the other hand, netbook could be connected to the external DVD drive for a software installation.
