Replacing HDD in HP laptop Omnibook xe3  

Replacing HP Omnibook xe3 laptop HDD is not so hard as I thought. First removing hinge cover. I did not find any screws holding hinge cover. So it can be removed straight away. After you have done this you find a few screws holding keyboard. Unscrew them. Now remove keyboard. You will find HDD and other components like DVD, processor and PCMCIA slot. The weak place of this laptop is hinges holding screws. In the laptop I got they are loose and can’t be tighten because of the damage. So I bought little bit longer screws and tighten all 4 screws properly.

Just be careful with HDD IDE connector because it can be broken by pushing it incorrectly in to the place.
