Business Laptop
Every laptop computer manufacturer has its line of business laptops.
Usually, business laptops have integrated graphic cards and processors that are not designed for gaming needs. These manufacturers focus on
durability and system stability instead on system speed and performance.
Acer has its TravelMate series which is considered to be thorough business machines. It needs to
be mentioned that the TravelMate line laptops are quite durable. We used to have one model of this series—the Travel Mate 4060.
Toshiba has a business line named Tecra. Tecras are top quality business laptops. As we repair
laptops often, we can tell that the manufacturing quality of the Toshiba business line is far better than its mainstream line. If you disassemble
a Toshiba Tecra 8200, you will see that all components in there are made with immensely high quality.
The Toshiba Portege can also be considered as a business laptop as it is extremely light, thin and has a DVD drive. This is a direct
competitor to netbooks
Dell has its own lines of business laptops as well. This is the Vostro, with screens starting
from 13.3 inch to 15.6 inch. Dell claims that by buying Vostro, you buy a 24x7x365 dedicated small business laptop service from Dell technicians.
Also, an interesting feature is that Dell technicians will be able access your business laptop through broadband and fix it remotely. Also, Dell
provides onsite repair services. New from Dell is the ProSupport service where you can get help in two minutes or less. Dell also offers
software tools like Dell automated PC tune UP, Data Safe Online Backup and Network Assistant for Vostro model owners.
Dell business laptop Vostro hardware: magnesium-alloy enhanced chassis, Strike Zone Hard Drive
shock absorber and optional free fall sensor to protect the hard disk in case the laptop is dropped.
Many online portals choose the Apple MacBook Pro for the first place in their business laptop
top 10 lists.
The Apple MacBook Pro is deemed to be a business laptop though Apple itself does not make any
such claims. These are actually the Pro versions of smaller laptops and are packed with better specs and have bigger screens. The
Apple MacBook Pro may cost a little more than its other counterparts, but then it offers far
greater possibilities for people who work with graphics and videos. Sometimes, less is more! You will find that this is quite true in the case of
the Apple MacBook Pro. There are fewer software applications installed here, but these are some truly great and useful applications.
This is a great laptop for people who work in the media.
